Mary Chaney is a documentary sketch artist preferring to sketch from life rather than photos. Her courtroom work has been used for television news, broadcasts, and has covered cases such as the Speilberg stalking, the Menendez brothers, O.J. Simpson, Heidi Fleiss and Richard Ramirez the 'Night Stalker'.

She has exhibited her courtroom sketches as well as her illustrations in several Southern California exhibits including a very successful exhibit at Loyola Law School

Her work has also been published in several law reviews and is included in the Smithsonian American History Museum.
